Dark Iron Motard sets off across Mallorca with 45 competitors
The sixth Dark Iron Motard Trofeo Ciutat de Palma de Mototurismo starts in Palma, Mallorca, on Saturday 22 August, bringing together 45 competitors for a four-stage route across the island. The event will cover 300 kilometres.
Pep Quetglas, president of Moto Club Media Milla, said at the presentation in Cort that seven women are among the entrants. Competitors are divided into male rider, female rider and co-driver categories.
Riders must find designated points of interest during each stage, but the locations will remain undisclosed until that stage begins. Each competitor plans their own route and confirms visits by scanning a QR code.
The trophy will go to the participant who completes the challenge using the fewest kilometres, rather than to the fastest rider.
