Mallorca university offers €2,000 disability internship

Mallorca has one internship backed by 2,000 euros for a student with a disability: the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) is offering a three-month placement. The ONCE Foundation announced the place on Monday, 28 September 2026. It is part of a Spain-wide programme offering external placements to 316 students with disabilities.

How the funding works

The student receives up to 600 euros a month during the three-month placement. The rest of the 2,000 euros goes towards social security and administration costs.

The placement can be with a large or small business, a social-economy or third-sector organisation, or another public or private body. The programme aims to help students gain work experience and improve their prospects of getting a job.

Who can apply

Applicants need a recognised disability of at least 33 per cent and must be enrolled on a bachelor's or master's degree. Priority goes to final-year students who have completed more than half their course credits but have not yet done an academic placement.

Applications go through the ONCE Foundation's scholarship website. The deadline is 30 November 2026, although universities may set an earlier one through their own procedures. A placement can start the day after the award is approved and must begin by 31 December 2027.
