Workers at the DomusVi care home in Palma have paused the Friday protests they had been holding outside the centre. The works council announced the move on 16 September after talks began between company management and employee representatives. It says the first agreements have already been reached.

The company is actively listening to proposals from the works council, according to the employee representatives, who describe the discussions as constructive. They welcome the firm's approach and say they hope the negotiations will lead to a satisfactory deal.

The protests have not been called off for good. The works council says it will reconsider further action if the dialogue fails to deliver. Staff will be kept updated in the coming weeks as talks continue and agreements are finalised.
