DomusVi Palma says summer staffing will be adequate
DomusVi Palma said on 20 August 2026 that it had taken measures to ensure adequate staffing over the summer at its residence in Palma, Mallorca. The statement came ahead of planned staff demonstrations over alleged shortages.
Employees say understaffing is making day-to-day work harder for technical and care teams, affecting both working conditions and the care provided to residents.
The company said it remained open to talks with the workforce and viewed negotiations as the best route to addressing the concerns and improving workplace relations. It added that residents’ wellbeing, safety and quality of care remained its priority, and said dialogue should produce an agreement acceptable to all sides.
