Palma doorway attack: man needs five stitches after bite
Five stitches in Palma on Mallorca: a man needs treatment after an attacker bites his finger in the shared entrance to his girlfriend’s building in early September. The attacker also hits him repeatedly in the face. Spain’s National Police arrested a suspect last week on suspicion of causing injury.
The man had arranged to meet his girlfriend at her home. When he called for her to let him in, she begged him to leave. He went into the building’s shared entrance anyway, where a man waiting inside lunged at him.
The injured man managed to get behind his attacker and restrain him. The attacker then left. At a medical centre, staff treated the man’s injuries and put five stitches in his bitten finger. Officers from the judicial police unit at Palma’s central district station identified the suspect a few days after the attack.
