Ibiza police arrest two after drugs found in trousers
Two Italian men have been arrested in Eivissa after National Police found drugs hidden inside one man’s trousers. Officers stopped their motorcycle at about 8pm on 21 September after seeing its driver use a phone while riding. The men appeared nervous during the check, police said.
A search uncovered a bag of cocaine and a significant amount of cash. Officers found no suspicious substances or objects on the motorcycle, and proposed a penalty for the man carrying the cocaine.
The pair then left on the motorcycle. One man later got off in an area known to officers for suspected drug dealing, while the other stayed by the bike and kept watch.
Police followed them discreetly. About 20 minutes later, the man hurried back to the motorcycle and officers stopped them before they could set off again.
A second search found different amounts of drugs inside one man’s trousers. Both men were arrested on suspicion of an offence against public health.
