Palma, Mallorca: A parcel containing 85 kilos of cocaine and marijuana puts a man at risk of nine years in prison. Prosecutors say he sent it to himself from Seville on 9 April, listing himself as both sender and recipient. A preliminary hearing is set for Monday at 12.30pm at the Balearic Islands Provincial Court.
Prosecutors also want him to pay a €2.64 million fine over an alleged drug offence. A judge authorised the parcel to be intercepted and delivered under supervision. The man came to collect it a few days later, unaware of the operation.
