On Mallorca and across the Balearic Islands, eating disorder support is getting a wider platform in November: public broadcaster IB3 will feature a group that helps people affected and their families. The Balearic Association for the Support of People Affected by Eating Disorders (ASIB-TCA) will appear through IB3’s ‘Tots donam una mà’ programme. IB3 announced the plan on Friday, 30 October, after signing an agreement with the association.

The broadcaster will share the group’s activities and initiatives on radio, television, its website and social media. It also aims to bring the experiences and needs of affected people and their families to a wider audience, alongside the work of the association’s professionals and collaborators.

ASIB-TCA supports people with eating disorders and their families. It works to challenge stigma and improve understanding of the conditions, while stressing the importance of early detection and access to support.
