Eivissa, on the island of Ibiza, sets aside 871,050 euros to remodel the old Plaza de sa Graduada under a 5.7 million euro funding plan for 2027. The city’s Capital Status Council approved the allocation on Thursday, 22 October 2026. The money comes from the Eivissa Island Council and the Balearic government.

What the island council will fund

The island council is contributing around 1.7 million euros. Alongside the square, the plan includes an expansion of the Can Ventosa cultural centre, budgeted at 705,000 euros, and air conditioning for the Paco Vázquez sports centre, allocated 138,150 euros.

Police, cleaning and getting around Eivissa

The Balearic government’s 4 million euros will fund local police, cleaning and urban mobility. The amount for each service has yet to be decided; it will depend on its needs and plans.

The overall funding matches 2026. That year, the island council’s contribution went to Can Ventosa and the remodelling of Avenida Comte Rosselló, while the Balearic government’s money went to the same three city services.
