Eivissa City Hall: Elena López joins PSOE race

Elena López Bonet is entering the PSOE primary to lead the party’s bid for Eivissa City Hall in the 2027 local elections. The socialist announced her move on Friday, 4 September. The PSOE said she wants to put people and neighbourhoods back at the centre of the city’s priorities.

López says Eivissa can be much better. Her proposed campaign would draw on experience and active listening, while bringing the debate back to the city’s neighbourhoods and the concerns of local people.

She is currently general secretary of the Socialist Grouping in Eivissa and spokesperson at the Consell. López says she approaches the primary with energy and a willingness to work, convinced that the PSOE can again lead a broad, progressive project for the city.

Her focus, she says, must be on the people who live in Eivissa all year round.
