Vox holds back as Palma delays EMT and SMAP budget votes

Palma, Mallorca, is delaying votes on the 2027 budgets of its municipal companies EMT and SMAP because Vox has not committed its support. The companies’ boards were due to meet on Monday afternoon, 26 October, to approve the accounts, but Palma City Council has cancelled the meetings.
Vox says it wants to examine several points it considers unclear. The council, also known as Cort, says parts of the budgets still need work. The votes have been postponed.
