Tobar is an assistant professor in the university’s Department of Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science. The university says the result marks a first step towards a public-private collaboration between TotIA and its Data Modelling and Statistical Learning research group, MoDAE. They aim to explore the use of artificial intelligence known as “edge AI” with satellite and drone data.
