Balearics: 31,191 firms match EU green activity list

In the Balearic Islands, 31,191 active companies carry out work covered by the European Union’s green activity list. That is 66.99% of the islands’ firms, according to an Informa D&B study reported on 4 November 2026.

The list, known as the Green Taxonomy, covers activities that could help the shift towards a more sustainable economy. Being on it does not mean a company is already sustainable.

The Balearic figure is above Spain’s average of 64%. Across Spain, the study counts about 882,976 companies with activities on the list. Most are microbusinesses, which make up 86.5% of that total.
