Palma: Woman held over €3,000 damage at ex's home

Palma, Mallorca: A woman is arrested after allegedly causing more than €3,000 in damage at her ex-partner’s home, where she found another woman, Spain’s National Police say. Officers went to the home in a residential area at about 23.15 last Saturday after its panic button was pressed.

The man who lived there told officers his ex-partner had arrived a couple of hours earlier. When she saw the young woman, she began berating her and damaging things in the home, he said. Police say a large mirror, a coffee machine and a computer were broken. Before leaving, the ex-partner pressed the panic button, according to the man.

Officers found the man and the young woman inside. Another patrol found his ex-partner nearby in her car. Police say she admitted pressing the button after an argument and causing damage in the home. They arrested her on suspicion of criminal damage and took her to a police station.
