Mallorca farm diesel aid: 0.10 euro a litre cleared
Mallorca’s farm producers are in line for 0.10 euro per litre in diesel aid after the European Commission approves a 750,000-euro plan for the Balearic Islands on Wednesday, 7 October 2026. The money is meant to offset higher agricultural diesel costs linked to the crisis in the Middle East.
The direct grants cover extra fuel costs incurred from 1 March to 30 June 2026. The scheme remains in force until 31 December 2026.
The European Commission reviewed the plan under state aid rules, which allow public support for certain activities under set conditions. It found the aid necessary, appropriate and proportionate. The scheme’s limited duration and clearly estimated budget helped it meet those rules, the Commission said, and it expects no adverse effect on the common interest.
