Esporles, Mallorca, faces a mayoral vote in 2027: Josep Ferrà wants another term, and his party’s assembly has proposed him as its lead candidate. PAS-MÉS per Esporles announced the move on 4 November 2026. Ferrà said he had given the decision a great deal of thought.

Ferrà has been mayor since June 2023, when PAS-MÉS per Esporles won seven council seats and an absolute majority. The party says his time in office has helped him understand local concerns better. He previously served as a councillor and first deputy mayor, and represented MÉS per Mallorca in the Balearic Parliament from 2017 to 2023.

PAS-MÉS per Esporles has begun preparing its programme and team for the election. Ferrà says he wants to keep listening to people in every part of the municipality and work for a community that stays rooted in its identity while remaining open to the world.
