Manacor opens fifth school playground after 16,450 users
16,450 people used Manacor’s four open school playgrounds during the 2025–2026 school year. Now Manacor, Mallorca, is adding a fifth: the playground at CEIP Molí d’en Xema joins the programme in November to reach more families. Manacor Town Council announced the change on 31 October 2026.
The new playground will open Monday to Friday from 16.00 to 19.30. Children under eight must be accompanied; those over eight can use it alone. On Saturday mornings, an area will be available for children aged zero to three and their families, as well as people with disabilities up to age 21. The council is working with Estel de Llevant and the local Asociación 0-3 on the new site.
Access is changing at CEIPIEEM Simó Ballester too. Its playground will be reserved for children aged three to eight and people with disabilities up to age 21. The council says the change aims to encourage inclusion, empathy, respect and cooperation.
