Mallorca's Fira B! brings over 30 shows to Palma

Mallorca hosts more than 30 stage productions as Fira B! opens in Palma, Mallorca, on Wednesday 30 September. Theatre, dance, circus and new forms of performance are on the programme until Saturday 3 October. The Balearic Islands’ Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports says the fair also aims to help local productions find audiences and partners beyond the islands.

Opening plays and visiting companies

The first performances at the Teatro Municipal Maruja Alfaro include ‘L'amor, la set’ and ‘Sacrificció’. The opening event moves to the Teatre Principal de Palma for Produccions de Ferro’s ‘L'arquitecte’.

On Thursday, the Maruja Alfaro hosts ‘Adsurbe’ by France’s OUPS Dance Company. At the Teatro Municipal Xesc Forteza, the Valencian company Col·lectiu Intermitent presents ‘Tres tristos traumes’.

Dance, industry talks and a Saturday finale

Friday brings dance and new stage forms to Es Baluard, including DAB Dantza’s ‘Kea’ and ‘Fear:less’ by Germany’s Silke Z. Resistdance. Alongside the performances, theatre professionals will meet for workshops, festival presentations and short talks. The programme includes the presentation on Friday 2 October of the catalogue of shows selected for Danza a Escena 2027.

Es Baluard remains a main venue on Saturday. The final performances include ‘Retaule en dues parts’ at the Basilica of Sant Francesc and ‘Act 3: LOVE’ at ses Voltes. A closing party with Gye DJ Set follows in Es Baluard’s Aljub.
