Sant Josep fire leaves 48-year-old in intensive care

A 48-year-old man is in intensive care after suffering severe burns when fire struck the makeshift shelter where he lived in Sant Josep, Ibiza, on Sunday. He was taken to the intensive care unit at Hospital Can Misses. The emergency call came from a wooded area, where the blaze affected the shelter, SAMU 061 said.
Two ambulances went to the scene. One provided advanced medical support and the other basic support. Crews stabilised the man before taking him to the Ibiza hospital.
