Fire in Can Picafort damages part of warehouse

A fire at an industrial estate in Can Picafort, Mallorca, damaged part of a warehouse on Thursday after breaking out on a plot of land nearby. The flames affected the side of the building, where wooden materials were stored.

Mallorca Fire Service received the alert at 15:00 and sent crews from Alcúdia and Inca, along with the sa Milana helicopter. The cause was not immediately known, and the fire spread rapidly before being brought under control at about 16:30.

Fire crews then withdrew from the scene. The Balearic Institute for Nature (Ibanat) also assisted with the operation.
