Formentera fire jobs: 52 face water tests for 16 posts
Fifty-two candidates entered the water and took on an agility course on Formentera on Monday, 14 September, competing for 16 permanent firefighter posts. The group included 45 men and seven women. The Consell de Formentera held the physical stage of its recruitment process.
Candidates had to complete a course testing agility and flexibility, followed by a water aptitude test. The jobs are permanent civil-service posts.
There were originally 287 applicants, but 119 were excluded from the process. Seventy-eight candidates sat the psychometric assessment, which they had to pass before reaching the physical tests.
The 16 vacancies form part of Formentera’s public employment offers for 2024 and 2025. They will be filled through an open competition-and-examination process.
