Accessible tourism awards open for Fitur 2027
Organisations have until 9 December to enter the fourth Fitur4all awards for accessible tourism. Fitur and Impulsa Igualdad opened the call in Madrid on 22 September 2026. The prizes will be presented at Fitur 2027, held at Ifema Madrid from 20 to 24 January 2027.
Applicants must take part in Fitur 2027 as an exhibitor, co-exhibitor or collaborating organisation. The awards back projects aimed at making travel more accessible.
Four routes to an award
Spanish destinations can enter the National Destination category if accessibility runs through their tourism offer. The International Destination award is for broad accessibility strategies outside Spain.
Tourism businesses can be recognised for reshaping services or creating technology that gives travellers greater independence. A fourth category honours organisations and institutions working on awareness, regulation and the social reach of accessible tourism.
Winners announced in Madrid
A specialist panel of tourism and universal-accessibility experts will judge entries on quality, relevance and innovation. Winners receive a diploma, a handmade trophy, a distinctive seal and a place in Fitur4all's guide to good practice in accessible tourism.
The Fitur4all area at Ifema Madrid will also host professional sessions, expert panels and meetings focused on new developments in tourism accessibility during the 2027 fair.
