Mallorca’s flu jabs are open to everyone: health centres on the island and across the Balearic Islands begin vaccinations on Monday, 19 October. People can book through Espai Salut, call 971 220 000 or make an appointment in person at their health centre, the Balearic Islands Department of Health says.

Who gets offered a jab?

People in risk groups should also be offered a flu jab when they visit a health centre for another reason. They include pregnant women, women who recently gave birth and were not vaccinated during pregnancy, children from six months to 11 years old, and people aged 11 to 59 with certain health risks.

Health and care staff, carers, household members of people in risk groups and essential public-service workers are among those included. Vaccinations in schools and residential homes for older people and people with disabilities began on 5 October.

How many vaccines are available?

The health department has bought 289,090 flu vaccines. It aims to vaccinate a higher share of people in every risk group than last year.

In the 2025–26 season, 219,096 people received a flu jab across the Balearic Islands — 31,302 more than the year before. Mallorca accounted for 180,451 of them.
