A 64-year-old German man remains critically ill after lifeguards pull him from the water at Llevant beach on the island of Formentera. He is in intensive care at Can Misses Hospital on Monday, the Pityusic Islands Health Area says.
The rescue took place at about 13.20 on Sunday. Lifeguards began resuscitation and continued until an advanced emergency unit from SAMU 061 arrived. Its crew restored the man’s pulse and took him to hospital by helicopter.
