Mallorca: 125 million euros in fuel aid announced
Mallorca’s small firms and self-employed workers could get help with higher fuel costs: regional president Marga Prohens announces a second aid package worth 125 million euros in Palma on Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, on Wednesday. She sets out the plan while responding to parliamentary groups on the second day of the General Policy Debate in the Balearic Parliament.
The proposal follows meetings with business representatives and social partners about the effect of dearer fuel and inflation on economic activity across the islands.
Prohens says the new package would bring the total mobilised to help families in the Balearic Islands over the past year to 300 million euros. An earlier package was worth 175 million euros.
