Mallorca has no confirmed site yet: Gasexpress plans to expand its automated petrol station network to the Balearic Islands as part of a €40 million push across Spain. The company and Dutch investor Standard Investment announced on 29 October 2026 that the fund had taken a stake in Gasexpress. All 57 of the chain’s current stations are outside the islands.

Gasexpress plans to spend €40 million over the next three years, opening stations and buying and converting existing sites. It aims to reach 120 stations by 2030. The Basque Country, Cantabria and Catalonia are also on its expansion list. The company has not said where or when it will open in the Balearics.

The investment also covers Liquids Express, the group’s fuel transport company. Existing shareholders José Manuel Costa, Jorge Pomar and Jose Vicente Jauzaras will keep running the business day to day and retain a significant stake. Gasexpress expects its growth to create around 75 jobs, on top of its current workforce of about 90.
