Mallorca small firms back 29 November general election

Mallorca’s small-business federation backs the 29 November general election: it says a lack of votes in parliament has made housing decrees hard to pass. The Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises of Mallorca (Pimem) welcomed the election call on Monday, 5 October. Its president, Jordi Mora, says the current parliamentary term had run its course.

Mora says the economy is doing well, but without a parliamentary majority, that has not turned into concrete policy. He calls it a good time for an election.

Pimem hopes the vote produces a government with enough support to govern and avoid political paralysis.
