Mallorca general strike over housing planned for 11 November

Mallorca faces a planned general strike over access to housing on 11 November: MÉS per Mallorca is urging people to take part. Trade unions CCOO and UGT and the tenants’ union Sindicato de Inquilinas intend to call the strike. In Palma, Mallorca, on Wednesday, MP Ferran Rosa said his party fully backed the action.
Rosa hopes it will bring a large turnout and wants the strike to focus on curbing speculation. He also criticised the Socialist Party (PSOE). Approving decree-laws was welcome, he said, but he accused the party of wasting three years of the legislative term by failing to act sooner.
