The event puts Dominican culture alongside the golf. Local artisan Ramón Antonio Guillén Polanco makes a trophy inspired by Taíno art. Chef María Marte prepares the food offering, and the Matum show draws on Indigenous history and Caribbean traditions.

Piñero uses the tournament to promote the Dominican Republic as a travel destination. It also brings journalists and travel agents to see what the area offers. The course has 27 holes, including a floodlit nine-hole layout, and a golf academy.
