Ibiza honours Guardia Civil chief after 40 years

Antonio Buendía Ávila has received a ceramic award on Ibiza after more than 40 years of service with the Guardia Civil.

Vicent Marí, president of the Ibiza Island Council, presented the piece to the force’s senior chief at a recognition ceremony on 28 August.

Marí praised Buendía’s record as an example of public service, commitment and dedication to Ibiza and its people. He said four decades of work for the island’s safety and wellbeing deserved recognition.
