Mallorca’s Guevara wins Moto2 after leader crashes

Mallorca rider Izan Guevara closes to within 5.5 points of the Moto2 championship lead: he wins the Indonesian Grand Prix at Mandalika, Indonesia, on Sunday 11 October 2026. Race leader Alex Escrig crashes with two laps left, opening the way for Guevara’s third straight victory. Championship leader Manu González climbs from tenth on the grid to finish second.

A restart and a tighter title race

Dani Holgado finishes third despite falling in a pile-up at turn one. Officials show the red flag and restart the race. Escrig does not finish after his later crash.

González still leads the championship, but Guevara is now just 5.5 points behind with five Grands Prix remaining.

Quiles takes the Moto3 title

Máximo Quiles wins the Moto3 race in Mandalika to secure the world title with five races still to run. The 18-year-old takes the lead on the second lap and goes on to claim his tenth victory of the season. David Almansa finishes second and Brian Uriarte third.
