Mallorca faces heavy rain and storms on Tuesday
Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, faces heavy, persistent showers on Tuesday as cold air brings falling temperatures. Thunderstorms are also possible under cloudy skies, Spain’s state weather agency, Aemet, says.
Aemet spokesman Rubén del Campo says Tuesday could be a difficult day in the Balearics and along the Catalan coast, particularly in areas that have already had torrential rain this autumn.
A high-pressure system over the British Isles is bringing easterly winds and moist air towards the Balearics, according to Aemet. The forecast does not say how far temperatures will fall on Mallorca.
