Mallorca weather: Showers could turn heavy this afternoon

Mallorca in the Balearic Islands faces a chance of locally heavy showers on Monday, 12 October, mainly in the island’s interior and south during the afternoon. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) says similar showers are possible in north-east Mallorca and Menorca until the morning.
The day starts overcast across the Balearic Islands. Cloud thins through the morning, before patches build again later.
Overnight temperatures rise, while daytime temperatures change little. Menorca has mostly light westerly winds that turn northerly. Elsewhere in the Balearic Islands, winds stay light, with gentle coastal breezes.
