Mallorca: very heavy thunderstorms possible this afternoon

Mallorca could see very heavy thunderstorms from Thursday afternoon, 1 October, as showers are forecast across the Balearic Islands. The day starts cloudy or overcast, with occasional rain possible before the afternoon. Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, Aemet, says showers with thunder could then be heavy or very heavy in some areas.

Temperatures are expected to change little overall, although daytime readings may fall slightly. Winds from the east will be light to moderate. For Mallorca, the forecast shifts from a chance of occasional rain earlier in the day to a risk of much heavier showers later on.
