Heritage Nights draw thousands in Spanish heritage cities

Heritage Nights has drawn thousands of people to evening events in 14 Spanish World Heritage cities over its first two nights. Guided tours, concerts, contemporary dance, theatre and workshops took place after dark at heritage sites. The ninth edition now moves to San Cristóbal de La Laguna on 18 and 19 September, completing the programme across all 15 cities.

Dance premieres and special dinners

The free programme included the Escena Patrimonio dance festival, with 31 performances and nine world premieres. Juan Berlanga, KOR'SIA, Roger Bernat, Elena Quesada, Manuel Liñán and Antonio Ruz were among the artists performing at heritage venues.

Paradores, a strategic partner of the Spanish World Heritage Cities Group, also staged music events, guided visits and food tastings. Its hotels in the member cities offered special-menu dinners as part of the programme.

La Laguna completes the programme

San Cristóbal de La Laguna will host two further nights of cultural events on 18 and 19 September. It is the final city to take part in this edition.

The Spanish World Heritage Cities Group brings together the 15 Spanish cities on UNESCO's World Heritage List, including Eivissa. The group works jointly on heritage conservation, tourism promotion and cultural outreach.
