Mallorca: Two Canadian hikers fall five metres at the Torrent d'Avall in Valldemossa on Thursday afternoon, leaving them injured and unable to carry on. Once the pair are safe, medics assess their injuries and give them first aid for bruises and knocks to several parts of their bodies. Valldemossa Civil Protection volunteers then accompany them to where they are staying.

The Guardia Civil advises anyone heading into the mountains to take equipment suited to their activity and follow expert safety advice to help avoid accidents.
