Mallorca holiday weather: showers, then clear skies

Responsible for this content: Frank Menze

Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, faces a cloudy start to the Monday, 12 October holiday: occasional showers may follow before skies clear in the afternoon. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) expects mostly settled weather over the weekend. Its Balearic representative, María José Guerrero, says the recent spell of rain should end on Friday afternoon.

Friday brings wave warnings

Occasional showers remain possible on Mallorca on Friday, but there is no rain warning. A yellow warning for waves of three to four metres covers the Serra de Tramuntana coast and north-east Mallorca until 15.00. Menorca has an orange warning until 15.00 for waves of four to five metres, followed by a yellow warning for the rest of the day.

A drier weekend before Monday’s showers

Saturday brings little cloud, though some passes through during the day. Sunday also starts with little cloud before the sky turns very cloudy at night. That cloud remains on Monday morning, when occasional rain is possible. Skies are expected to clear in the afternoon.
