Mallorca’s Raiguer area is set for up to 7,500 hours of home care a month for people who need help with daily life. The Balearic government’s executive council approved eleven-point-eight million euros for the service on 2 October 2026. It is due to run from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2030.

The agreement covers a maximum of 360,000 hours over four years, government spokesman Antoni Costa said after the council meeting. The hourly rate will rise in stages from 29.6 euros in 2026 to 34.3 euros in 2030. The government says the increase should give workers greater stability and improve care.

The service provides personal care and help with household tasks. Qualified, supervised staff aim to help people remain independent and stay in their familiar surroundings.
