Mallorca horse racing: eight trots, two €15,000 prizes

Mallorca’s Hipódromo de Son Pardo in Palma puts 15,000 euros in prize money on the line in each of two trotting races on Sunday. The eight-race programme starts at 10.32 and brings together horses of different ages. The Instituto del Deporte Hípico de Mallorca organises the meeting, according to the Consell de Mallorca.

Four-year-olds get another chance

The Critèrium dels 4 Anys starts at 12.45. Open to four-year-old national horses, it covers 2,150 metres and gives contenders from the Gran Premi del Criador another chance to compete.

Magic Mar won that race at Son Pardo on 12 October, driven by J. A. Riera for Cas Bombero. More Mio finished second, followed by Mesquinet SP.

Younger horses take their turn

At 13.35, the Premi Black Crom GS gives two-year-old national horses a 2,150-metre race ahead of the Critèrium dels 2 Anys. It offers 1,800 euros in prize money.

The other 15,000-euro race, the Campió dels Campions, starts at 14.25. It brings three-year-old national horses back to the track over 2,650 metres, with 6,900 euros going to the winner. Five more races complete the programme at Son Pardo.
