Manacor hospital moves clinics into new building
Patients arriving for outpatient appointments at Hospital de Manacor need to check their room carefully as specialist clinics move into the new outpatient building. The phased move, taking place through September and October, puts the consultations on the first floor of the new facility.
Endocrinology, surgery, paediatrics, trauma care and psychiatry have already moved during September. Gynaecology and obstetrics are now being transferred in stages, the Balearic health ministry said on Tuesday.
Urology and ear, nose and throat clinics are due to move by the end of September. Dermatology and ophthalmology will follow in October.
The gradual switch is intended to keep patient care running while the hospital reorganises its outpatient activity and brings several specialties together in the new building.
Patients with an outpatient appointment should use the ticket machine when they arrive and take the ticket for their clinic. They should pay close attention to the room shown on it, as its location may have changed during the move.
