Mallorca’s Hotel Bellevue fire: Alcúdia honours crews

In Alcúdia, Mallorca, the town honours firefighters on Friday, 6 November 2026, for tackling a fire at the Hotel Bellevue that forced hundreds of people to leave as a precaution. The fire began in the hotel’s machine room on 29 August 2025.

Mallorca’s island council said the town presented an official award to officers and firefighters from the Alcúdia, Inca and Artà fire stations who responded. At the ceremony, the town praised their swift, coordinated response to a difficult emergency.

The firefighters thanked the town. They said the award also recognised the daily commitment and training of fire crews across the island.
