Mallorca passes 500-strong hotel congress to Benidorm

Mallorca’s turn as host is over as Benidorm prepares to welcome more than 500 hotel business owners, executives and industry professionals from 21 to 23 April 2027. The Spanish Hotel and Tourist Accommodation Confederation (CEHAT) and the Valencian hotel and tourism association HOSBEC unveiled the 21st Spanish Hotel Congress at Benidorm Town Hall on Thursday.

The gathering, held under the slogan “Tourism that measures up”, will examine the tourism industry’s major challenges. Benidorm follows Oviedo in 2021, Mallorca in 2023 and Cartagena in 2025 as host.

The congress will also coincide with the 50th anniversary of HOSBEC’s foundation.

Debates concentrated into one day

The new format puts most presentations and academic debates into a single day. The following day will feature technical visits and activities at Benidorm hotels and tourism sites.

Organisers say these visits will show how the city’s tourism model has developed in digitalisation, sustainability and data management.

Registration opens in October

Registration is due to open next October through the event’s official website. Delegates will be free to choose their own hotel, a model intended to spread the congress’s economic impact across Benidorm’s hotel sector.
