Mallorca hotel porter on trial over alleged sexual assault

Palma, Mallorca: A hotel night porter goes on trial on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, accused of sexually assaulting a guest who was under the influence of alcohol. The woman screamed, waking guests next door, who asked reception to call the police, according to the prosecution. The alleged assault happened in the early hours of 13 October 2022.

Prosecutors say the porter met the woman and offered to help her into her room. They allege he went inside on that pretext and sexually assaulted her.

The Second Section of the Provincial Court is due to hear the case from 10.00. The prosecutor is seeking seven years in prison, a five-year restraining order and 10,000 euros in compensation.
