Housing crisis general strike: 11 November proposed

Madrid, Spain: A general strike over the housing crisis could fall on 11 November, but the unions planning it have not agreed a date. The CCOO and UGT unions and the Sindicato de Inquilinas tenants’ group are due to meet at 19.00 on 7 October to choose a day for the protest.
The Confederación de Sindicatos de Inquilinas (CSI), a tenants’ confederation, plans to propose 11 November at the meeting. El País and La Vanguardia have already pointed to that date, but CCOO and UGT say the groups involved must agree it together. The decision is not expected until later in the day.
