Spain’s Congress votes on housing decrees on Friday: minister Elma Saiz says she is optimistic, even though the People’s Party (PP) opposes them. Speaking to La2Cat and Ràdio 4 on Thursday, Spain’s Minister for Inclusion, Social Security and Migration said the PP was no longer a useful opposition party.
Saiz criticised PP leader Feijóo for using the word “trap” when talking about both temporary incapacity and protecting access to housing. She said the measures served the public interest, urged people to stay calm and asked them to let parliamentary groups do their work.
