Housing help: Spain pushes free 047 information line
People looking for housing information are set to see more guidance on the rules and a bigger push for Spain’s free 047 telephone line.
Housing Minister Isabel Rodríguez and Olga Ruiz, president of consumer group Facua-Consumidores en Acción, signed an agreement in Madrid on Friday, 18 September. The deal covers access to housing information, training and guidance.
The Ministry for Housing and Urban Agenda said the partners will run information campaigns on the Housing Law and publicise the 047 line. They also want more people to understand the protections available to vulnerable consumers.
The agreement aims to improve the quality and reliability of public housing information. Its material will be checked and verified to help people make sense of the rules in force.
Pablo Torres, the ministry’s under-secretary, and Facua vice-president Miguel Ángel Serrano attended the signing.
