Mallorca housing protest calls meeting before general strike
At Plaza de España in Palma, Mallorca, housing campaigners are calling an open meeting for 18.30 on Sunday, 8 November, ahead of Wednesday’s general strike. The organisers of the housing camp want people to attend the meeting and join the strike.
In social media posts, they say they want to “bring everything to a halt” and that the fight will continue regardless of who governs. They call for walkouts against what they describe as the business of housing and urge people to organise for a decent life.
The organisers also announced a separate internal meeting away from the square for Saturday. They said they would share news afterwards.
