Mallorca flights: Switch for free on four fares

Responsible for this content: Frank Menze

On flights between Mallorca in the Balearic Islands and Madrid, passengers on four Iberia Express fares can move to an earlier or later service on the day they travel, free of charge. The airline announced the option on 6 October 2026. Passengers can make the change until two hours before their original flight leaves.

Who can change flights

The service, called “Mueve tu vuelo”, covers Balear Plus, Balear Flex, Balear Business Plus and Balear Business Flex fares. It also applies between Madrid and Ibiza, and between Madrid and Menorca from April to the end of October. It gives residents and frequent flyers whose plans change at short notice another choice of departure time.

Passengers can switch on the Iberia Express website or at an airport check-in desk. Anyone who has already checked in needs only to download a new boarding pass. Booked baggage and priority boarding carry over, but keeping the same seat depends on availability on the new flight.

More flights this winter

Iberia Express plans nearly 200 flights a week between Madrid and the Balearic Islands this winter. That includes up to 12 flights a day in each direction between Madrid and Mallorca, and up to five in each direction between Madrid and Ibiza.

The airline has also added two daily Mallorca services. They leave Madrid at 06.00 and 19.30, with departures from Mallorca for Madrid at 08.00 and 21.25.
