The resort has six restaurants serving local and international food, as well as outdoor pools, a spa, a diving centre and sports facilities. Its Star Prestige area is for adults, while Star Camp is a programme for children.

Iberostar says it has trained more than 330 employees on the island in environmental matters. The resort has its own glass-bottle filling plant to replace single-use plastic bottles, and the company says it works with ethical suppliers and local craftspeople with Fair Trade certification.

The opening is part of Iberostar’s 1,000 million euro investment plan through 2028, covering new projects and the repositioning of existing properties. The group now has more than 26,800 rooms across more than 80 four- and five-star hotels in 13 countries.
