Balearic Islands: Iberostar sales climb over 10%
Mallorca is part of a Balearic Islands market where Iberostar Hotels & Resorts says sales for travel in 2026 are up by more than 10%. The hotel group released the figures on 7 October. Sales for travel to the Canary Islands have also risen by more than 10%.
Sales grow beyond the islands
Across its hotels worldwide, Iberostar’s sales rose 7% in the first three quarters of 2026. Its average daily room rate rose by the same amount. Summer sales from the British and German markets each grew by close to 10%.
New hotels and December reopenings
Iberostar is continuing an investment plan worth 1,000 million euros through 2028. It plans to open the Iberostar Selection Zanzibar and add a fourth hotel in Montenegro.
In December, it expects to reopen JOIA Rose Hall in Jamaica and two hotels in Mexico, Iberostar Waves Tucán and Iberostar Waves Quetzal, after extensive renovations.
